The question as to WHY people are not going to get their exams done is exactly what I'm
wondering too. I'm finding support in the literature that a patient having a better understanding of
WHY the diabetic eye screening is important is much less likely to report barriers to obtaining
the dilated eye exam (Lu, Serpas, Genter, Anderson, Campa, & Ipp, 2016). This to me is huge
