ARNON CYCLE
Definition:
(1).Carbon cycle is the process by which carbon compounds move
between the earth’s atmosphere, biosphere, geosphere,
pedosphere, and hydrosphere. Carbon is the most important part of
all living things and a big part of many minerals, like limestone.
(2).Carbon is an inevitable part of all biomolecules and is
substantially impacted by the change in global climate. The
releasing of carbon in the atmosphere increases due to burning of
fossil fuels, deforestation, forest fire, volcanic eruption and
decomposition of dead organic matters.
(3).Atmospheric carbon dioxide is the source of all carbon in both
living organisms as well as in the fossils (used as fossil fuel). It is
highly soluble in water. Oceans also contain large quantities of
dissolved carbon dioxide and bicarbonates.
(4).This cycle was first proposed by soil microbiologist Martin
Alexander. Carbon is one of the common element which is
circulated by means of large number of biosphere components.
Properties of carbon:
Physical properties of carbon :
(1).Carbon stands alone as a chemical element. It manifests itself in
a wide variety of manifestations. Coal and soot are two materials
that contain pure carbon.
(2).It’s either a muted grey or a flat black, and it’s quite boring and
subtle.
(3).Charcoal, produced by burning carbon in the absence of air, is
one of the most useful carbon compounds. It manifests in a variety
of allotropic manifestations.
(4).Various allotropes of a given element exist, each with its own
unique set of chemical and physical properties.
(5).Carbon densities vary depending on where the element was first
created. There are pure forms of carbon like diamonds and
