Bacteria - small one celled microorganisms
They are ubiquitous (found everywhere)
They are found almost everywhere:
-water -air
-soil -food
-skin -inside the body
-on most objects

They belong to the kingdom MONERA.
They are called prokaryotes because they
do not have membrane-bound organelles.
Characterized by simple structures.
Play important roles in the environment,
