● Word 'Communication' is derived from the Latin word 'Communis' which
means ‘sharing’ (sharing of ideas in a common way).
● In communication, a message or information can be given in any form
say written, oral, non verbal etc.
● In communication it is necessary that the receiver should get the proper
information regarding that communication.
Definitions
● “Communication is an exchange of facts, ideas, opinions or emotions by
the two or more persons.”
● “The connection between two or more people to exchange their
knowledge or ideas is communication.”
According to Keith Davis:-
“The process of passing the information and understanding from one
person to another is known as Communication.”

● It is an important process to run a business.
● In business communication, many people who are included in the
business share their thoughts or opinions.
● Business Communication is important to fulfil the objectives of the
business.
● Business can not earn it's goal without a proper communication.
