Project Description
The project is an expansion of service by a municipal airport to allow larger planes to land at its
facilities. This decision could expand the tourism business but it will create additional noise and
pollution. The added tourism could help increase business in that area like more customers for
hotels. However, they have to take additional measures to mitigate the noise and pollution.
Identify the possible internal and external stakeholders who could be partners for the
project.
A stakeholder is an individual or group that has invested interest in a company that can
potentially affect the business (Fernando, 2022). Stakeholders could be classified into two as
internal stakeholders and external stakeholders. Due to an increasing consideration for corporate
social responsibility (CSR) communities, governments, and different associations are seen as
stakeholders. Stakeholders should be included during the planning phase of any project to
address issues that affect them and provide an optimal solution.
For the above project mentioned, the internal stakeholders and external stakeholders are
presented next.
Internal Stakeholders include the Board of Directors, employees, suppliers, air carriers,
volunteers, and donors.
External Stakeholders include customers, governmental authorities, community, media,
Propose two committees, which would be part of a strategic management process, to
address the opportunities and costs of the project.
To successfully plan and implement a strategic management process there need to be committees
with properly defined responsibilities. For the above project, two committees will be formed the
various tasks. These committees are the planning and follow-up committee and the budget
committee.
The planning and follow-up committee: Their main responsibility is to devise a well-thought-
out plan by considering all the relevant facts, risks, and opportunities presented in this project.
