and survive with little help. The importance of this was that Washington was able to keep
them together and under control, while they were also were trained and given the discipline
that they needed to go on.

steadfastness, meaning he had integrity and he didn't want to give up, which gave his
armies that same positive attitude. The second reason is that the British didn't use their
advantages, like when the generals didn't use their powerful armies to defeat the weaker
