Community immersion: Method under which young people:
- Learn and develop through active participation in thoughtfully organized
experiences that meet actual community needs that are coordinated with the
school and community
- Integrated with specific learning objectives and structured time for youth to
think, talk, or write about what they did and saw during the service.
- Provides youth with opportunities to use newly acquired skills and knowledge
in real-time situations in their own communities.
Community immersion: strategy in community organizing that is sought to imbibe
song the NSTP students, a better understanding and realization of the different
community concerns through the exposure on actual life situations specifically in the
deprived, depressed and the underprivileged communities.
