In this lesson you will be introduced to the unit and be acquainted with the course
requirements. During this lesson you will be taken through the lesson flow chart,
overview of the course, module learning outcomes, course description, course
requirements and assessment requirements so that you can have a clear understanding of
the course requirements.
Lesson One: Learning Outcomes For Art And Craft In Early Years Education
In this lesson we are going to look at the learning outcomes for art and craft activities in
early years education. Learning outcomes give direction or focus to what we do with
children on yearly basis. They also reflect our values and beliefs about children and how
they develop and learn.
Lesson Two: Introduction To Art in Early Years Education
Welcome to this lesson. In the previous lesson we looked at the learning outcomes of art
craft and craft activities in early years education. In this lesson we are going to look at
what art is and the elements of art.
Lesson Three: Role Of Art And Craft In Teaching-Learning Of Other Curriculum
Areas
In this lesson we are going to learn about the role of art and craft in the teaching-learning
of other curriculum areas. The curriculum areas are language activities, mathematical
activities, environmental activities, psychomotor and creative activities and religious
activities.
Lesson Four: Art And Craft Curriculum for Early Years Education
In this lesson we are going to learn about art and craft curriculum. It one of the important
areas in the KICD curriculum designs for Early Years Education.
Lesson Five: Methods Of Teaching Art And Craft In Early Years Education
In this lesson we are going to look at the methods of teaching art and craft. The methods
include thematic approach, demonstration, field trip, free expression, display and project
method.
