Ans: separates the head lengthwise between the two parietal bones
4). What three cervical vertebrae support the cranium?
Ans: C1: the atlas
C2: the axis
all the way down to C7
5). Parotid gland
Ans: salivary gland within the cheek, just anterior to the ear
largest of the salivary glands, not normally palpable
6). Submandibular gland
Ans: beneath the mandible
7). Sublingual gland
Ans: under the tongue
