Christian Worldview
CWV-101 4 Credits Feb 21 - Apr 10, 2022
Course Description
A worldview acts like glasses through which one views the world. In this course, students explore the big
questions that make up a worldview, questions like “Why are we here?” and “What is my purpose?” Students
examine how Christians answer these questions and work on exploring their own worldviews, as well as
learning how worldview influences one’s perceptions, decision making, and everyday life.

Optional - Worldview Timeline Builder
The main purpose of this tool is to help students identify major persons, experiences, and concepts that had
shaped their worldviews and to also identify patterns that might reveal God’s working in their lives and/or any
potential experiential/emotional obstacles to belief.
When doing the timeline in class, students often begin to see amazing patterns in their lives (often showing
many that someone has been directing their story) and/or potential experiential and emotional influences on
their worldviews for the first time, often making them more receptive to exploring the truth claims of the CWV.
Secondary benefits of using this tool is that it helps students to bond in the class and become more receptive
due to feeling like their story has been heard and that they have been seen by their instructor and classmates.
It also allows us to later ask how Jesus might speak to their actual life and story.
Typically, this tool is for student’s personal use. As in any communication with students, it is the responsibility
of the instructor to be aware of students who are at risk and need a wellness check. Therefore, if you choose
to use this tool with your students, you will have the same responsibility.
If you choose to use this tool, post the following material in the learning management system:
