EQUIPMENT/APPARATUS DESCRIPTION/FUNCTION
1. Beakers A container that use to hold liquid or solid
samples. Beaker has poor accuracy in
measuring samples and it should only be
use in estimating volume.
2. Beaker Tongs This is use to move beakers containing hot
liquids
3. Bunsen Burner Used in heating non-volatile solid and
liquids
4. Crucible and Crucible and cover are made of high-
Cover temperature resistant materials and is used
in heating certain solid to very high
temperatures.
5. Crucible Tongs It has scissor-like tools use to handle hot
crucible, flask, small beakers or other items
which contain very high temperature.
6. Droppers Consist of small tube that is use to dispense
or transfer small amounts of liquid.
7. Erlenmeyer Flask Used to hold and measure chemicals. It also
used to mix, boil and heat chemicals .The
small neck use to make ease mixing
without spilling.
8. Florence Flask Florence Flask is also known as boiling flask
has a large, round sphere with a long thin
neck. It is used as a container to hold
liquids and mix, heat and boil chemicals
