Nutrients - all chemical substances that you can absorb from the food & drinks.
Nutrients play almost all the roles in the organism’s metabolism and support your
homeostasis.
Metabolism - summary of all chemical reactions in your body.
Homeostasis - stable internal conditions of an organism (temperature, pressure, sated,
etc.)
Nutrients
Macronutrients - make up 99% of dry foods intake. Gives your energy, building materials
for cells, molecules to store energy.
Micronutrients - make up >1% of dry intake. Regulate and enhance all metabolic
processes.
Solvents - 0% of dry intake. For biochemical reactions, a reactant in various metabolic
processes, a transporter of nutrients and waste products, and a regulator of body
temperature.

Macronutrients
They made up most of the food that you’ve eaten.
3 groups of macronutrients included :
1. Carbohydrates - Carbon + Water
- Formula : Cn(H2O)n
- known for : C6H12O6 - glucose
As the dietary source, carbohydrates also can be separated on 2 groups.
