Leerdoelen dit college:

Leerdoel 1: Je hebt kennis van de oorzaken van overgewicht en de factoren van invloed
hierop

Leerdoel 2: Je hebt kennis van de richtlijnen van de WHO en het CBO en kunt
interventeprogramma’s op internatonaal, natonaal en op regionaal niveau benoemen.

Leerdoel 3: Je kunt (vanuit de voedingsindustrie) aanbevelingen t.a.v. prevente en
vermindering van obesitas benoemen.



Bijna 1/3 wereldbevolking is té zwaar. (2.2 miljard is té zwaar)
In China en Japan heef 5% obesitas.
In Nauru 71% obesitas.
1/3 adolescenten in Europa is te zwaar.
In Nederland minder overgewicht en obesitas in vergelijking met de rest van Europa onder
volwassenen.
Meer mensen gaan dood aan obesitas in de wereld dan aan ondergewicht.
Helf Nederlandse 2-pplussers is te zwaar. (slide 15)
Meer mannen dan vrouwen hebben overgewicht. Meer vrouwen dan mannen zijn ‘obees’.
WHO: Once considered a highpincome country problem, overweight and obesity are now on
the rise in low and middle income counries, partcularly in urban setngs.


Leerdoel 1: Je hebt kennis van de oorzaken van overgewicht en de factoren van
invloed hierop

The fundamental cause of obesity and overweight is an energy imbalance between calories
consumed and calories expended. Globally, there has been:

 an increased intake of energypdense foods that are high in fat; and
 an increase in physical inactvity due to the increasingly sedentary nature of many
forms of work, changing modes of transportaton, and increasing urbanizaton.

Changes in dietary and physical actvity paterns are ofen the result of environmental and
societal changes associated with development and lack of supportve policies in sectors such
as health, agriculture, transport, urban planning, environment, food processing, distributon,
marketng, and educaton.
