What is the definition of clinical neuroscience?

“an emerging field in which basic neuroscience data and the scientific method
are coupled to such fields as clinical psychology, psychiatry, and neurology in
order to better understand the neural underpinnings of mental and nervous
system disorders and to improve their diagnosis and treatment” (APA, n.d.)

processing pathways
2. controls simple reflexes (processed by spinal cord, not brain)
Brain & spinal cord encased within bones & vertebral column (Johns, 2014)
CNS communicated with the body through nerves = fibres transmit info out

a. 3 layers of protective membranes (meninges)
2. meninges
a. protected membrane (first line of defence)
b. e.g., protects brain from meningitis
3. blood supply
