Write a training objective for the program described in the case that contains the key elements and components of a training objective. How would your training objective have helped in the choice/design of a training program? How would it have helped trainees and managers? RESPONSE The objective of the training program was to help the sales associates with basic sales training, and to increase the sales/eliminate the performance gap, a lack of sales. The main question for a training objective is “what should the employees be able to do at the end of the training program?” The answer for this situation is that employees should be increasing their sales, with confidence and knowledge of the products they are selling. Any of the employees who are selling the products to customers need to understand, and confidently make sales while speaking with customers and enjoy learning about the new products. The sales associates are expected to meet minimum sales quotas both individually, as well as a team per month with incentives being given to reach higher quotas. QUESTION PRESENTED 2.
