P4) Explain the reasons behind the choice of media in a successful promotonal campaign.

Types of media

There are many types of media which advert could show, however before creating
an actual advert agency has to consider the target market for the client. The advert
can be promoted through social media, TV, newspapers, posters, etc. In addition to
that, the advert can be done locally or nationally, therefore the agency has to
consider how to reach the audience. The agency will have to target the audience
and geographical location. For example, if the businesses product wants to be soled
internationally, then agency should consider to target only people in specifc
country. As a consequence of that, the cost of work will be cheaper then
international advert. In addition to that, it should take less time for the agency to
produce the high quality advert, as it doesn’t have to target all people around the
world. The agency will have to fnd the interest of audience and compare it with
demographics and interests of the diferent media identifed. sing diferent types
of media will cost diferent amount of money. For instance, the newspapers and
posters will cot less then a TV advert, as it is harder to produce advert clip and fnd
actors. Bellow, there is an image with the link for the YouTube video which was
targeting men who specifcally run. Therefore, Old Spice has chosen targeted their
audience and created an advert, which they uploaded on their website

Criteria for media selection

The types of media need to be decided on the place where the actual product is
going to be sold. For example, Old Spice should advert their products through
internet (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Ofcial website). In addition to that, Old Spice
products are also sold in supermarkets and corner shops. This process will help Old
Spice to promote their products and customers will buy their products, as they have
seen adverts of Old Spice on TV and Social media. The agency has to decide which
type of advert they are going to use and the best place to post the advert. For
