DEFINITIONS


Organization -comprise of two or more individuals engaged in a systematic and coordinate effort
persistently over a period of time in order to achieve goals.

Behavior -what people do which can be observed or measured.

Organization Behaviour is a field of study that investigates the impact that
individuals,organizations,groups,structures have on a behaviour with organization for a purpose of applying
such knowledge towards improving ;organization effectiveness.




IMPORTANCE OF ORGANIZATION BEHAVIOUR

1) To attain knowledge and skills that facilitates productivity within organization.
2) We obtain knowledge about leadership styles that are needed in organization.
3) It provides knowledge on formation of groups that can be used in organization to create teamwork and
enhance efficiency in the organization.
4) It provides skills on decision making process which is used by employers and employees in the
organization .
5) It provides knowledge on the communication process in the organization that facilitates coordination
levels and enhances efficiency.
