1. Understand the difference of Artist and Artisan; Arts and Performance
2. Identify the different Elements of Art
INTRODUCTION
“Artist” - defined as an art practitioner, such as a painter, sculptor, choreographer, dancer,
writer, poet, musician and etc.
“Artisan” - a craftsman, such as carpenter, carver, plumber, weaver, embroider etc.
Elements of Art are the building blocks or ingredients of art.
Performance art - artwork or art exhibition created by the activities of the artist or other
participants.
The various classifications of art include fine art, visual art, plastic art, performance art,
applied art, and decorative art.
