1. Determine students’ expectation of the course
2. Understand the meaning of humanities and art appreciation
3. Identify the different assumptions and functions of art
INTRODUCTION
Looking at art or making and writing about art develops our critical thinking.
When you see artworks, you ask for the meaning behind. This helps to develop critical thinking skills.
Our culture is increasingly dominated by images.
Art contains information
“Without creativity, there is no innovation”
Art helps us understand more about the culture and values that produced it.
The problem is that we forget the value or beauty of things around us.

Creativity is essential in any field.
