What if the pt's condition is found to be outside the scope of physical therapy
refer the patient to or consult with a practitioner of record
If PT tx is req'd beyond 30 days for condition NOT previously assessed by a practitioner of record, the
PT shall
have practitioner of record review & sign POC.
Requirement that PT have practitioner of record review & sign POC does NOT apply when:
1. Pt has been physically examined by physician licensed in another state
2. Pt has been dx'd by physician as having condition for which PT is required, & PT is txing condition.
The practice of PT does NOT authorize a PT to practice chiropractic medicine as defined in chapter
