, • Triceps covers the majority of the
posterior compartment of the arm.
• It is a two joint muscle with 3 heads:
medial, lateral and long head
• It is antagonistic to the biceps
brachii muscle(flexor).
• Triceps can be tested by palpating its
fibres during elbow extension
against resistance.
