The babies bear only fraternal resemblance to each other (that of brothers and sisters from
different births) and hence called fraternal twins.

If the division takes place within 72 hours after fertilization the resulting embryos will have tw
separate placenta, chorions and amnions (diamniotic-dichorionic)
