, PREFACE

This assignment is commissioned by the course ‘Writing and presenting. All third-year students who
study Communication at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences need to summarize two articles.
These students also need to write a press release, and a social media news release (SMNR). This
portfolio contains the second summary, the press release, and the SMNR. To pass the course
successfully, the second summary must be between a range of 125 – 200 words. Furthermore, the
press release must be between a range of 300 – 400 words, and the SMNR between a range of 100 –
150 words. I would like to thank my teacher Ms. Biesma for informative and inspiring lectures. Regarding
the last class session, I would like to thank the teacher for the helpful feedback. This assignment is
exclusively intended for Ms. Biesma.
