Some of the benefits of metacognition are that you, as the individual,
know exactly how your mind works and how it interprets things.
Metacognition involves you knowing how you think and learn. If
you are aware of the ways you think and learn, then you will be
prepared during your doctoral learning. If you start a doctoral
education, and you don’t know your own abilities, it would be
difficult for you to succeed. Most doctoral education now is
independent and online and thus you have to be motivated to learn
