Atelectasis 肺不張 (lung tissue have no air inside)
, - Refers to the incomplete expansion of the lungs (neonatal atelectasis 新生兒肺不
張) or to the collapse of previously inflated lung, producing areas of relatively airless
pulmonary parenchyma.
- Reversible condition
- Acquired atelectasis 後天性肺不張 mainly in adults, may be divided into
1. resorption (or obstruction), 2. compression, and 3. contraction atelectasis.
Resorption: Pink: block (Adult- sticky sputum)
Compression: water/ gas/ blood compress- can't expend well
Contraction: Contraction cause scar form--> can’t expend, long term: fibrosis
