technicians' competency to practice and to be licensed.
Who administrates the VTNE In the state of North Carolina? -
\The National Examination is
administrated by the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Board.
Requirements to take the VTNE include -
\Must have graduated from an AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association)
accredited program to be
eligible to sit for this National Examination.
(Those in their externship with no other courses to complete will be eligible to take the
exam prior to the last day of classes or graduation.)
The test includes the following -
\Computer based taken at a Prometric site
150 multiple choice questions
20 multiple choice pilot questions
Administration dates: -
\March 15-April 15
July 15-August 15
November 15-December 15
Application deadline: -
\30 days prior to exam (the 15th of the month prior to the test window)
Fee -
\$300
Results -
\When taking the exam, you will be given an unofficial pass/fail.
Results of the examination are received approximately in 3-4 weeks
