A claim is a statement that says something has happened, will happen, is happening, or
ought to happen. ONLY declarative sentences are claims.
"We wanted to have a formal dinner and we wanted at least four courses, so we
served an appetizer, made soup for the first course, and prepared roast beef for
the main course and we made a cake for desert. Some formal dinners have as
