Discuss the differences and similarities between the presidential and parliamentary systems,
including the executive and legislative branches. Which system do you feel serves its citizen

Within the presidential system the legislative and executive branches are separate. This helps to
ensure that no one can have too much power (Whitman Cobb, 2020). On the other hand, a
parliamentary system has their executive and legislative branches fused. In the presidential
system, having the two branches separate ensure the checks and balances of power between the
two. This can potentially delay the process of having new laws created due to having to go
