Introduction
We conducted a meta-analysis and comprehensive review to determine how continuous

glucose monitors (CGM) affected the proportion of people with type 1 diabetes who had an

HbA1C. The inclusion criteria were satisfied by studies including people (18 years of age and

older) with type 1 diabetes. We also took into consideration participants with various medical

problems. Compared to conventional treatment, which may involve insulin pumps, daily insulin

injections, or regular monitoring, the intervention of interest was CGM. The key outcome

measure was HbA1C (in %); randomized trials were eligible.
