NRNP 6550 Infections, Antimicrobials, and Antifungals: 68-year-old Female Patient
Primary Diagnosis: Hospital-Acquired Pneumonia (HAP) Status/Condition (Critical, Guarded, Stable, etc.): Stable Code Status: Full Code Allergies: Morphine Admit to Unit: Inpatient Telemetry Unit Activity Level: Ambulate TID Diet: Cardiac Diet IV Fluids: Normal Saline Solution @ 75mL/hr. until PO intake is 400 ml/every 4 hours. Respiratory: Oxygen – Titrate O2 via nasal cannula to maintain oxygen saturation greater than or equal to 92%. Pulse Oximetry monitoring daily. Initiate 2L oxygen nasal cannula and titrate for comfort. Medications: Lisinopril 20 mg PO daily for Hypertension Levothyroxine 75 mcg PO daily for Hypothyroidism Rivaroxaban 10 mg PO daily Hold Ciprofloxacin 500 mg Q12 as it worsens the symptoms. Piperacillin/tazobactam 4.5 g IV Q6
