QUESTION 1:
What are some of the challenges you have faced or are currently facing in your studies?
Can you describe a specific situation or situations where you encountered a setback in
your academic journey?
As a UNISA student learning about networks and time, I Have faced a few challenges in my
studies. Some stuff is pretty hard to understand, like complicated network rules and time-
syncing ideas. Sometimes, the tools we use for projects break or don't work right, causing
delays. Balancing schoolwork, projects, and personal life can be tough too. Plus, technology
changes fast, so it's tricky to keep up. Working with others on projects can be hard too,
especially if we don't all get along or agree. Also, getting access to special tools or stuff we
need can be tough sometimes. Once, during a group project on network security, our computer
program kept crashing, making us stressed and behind schedule. But we talked it out, found a
different solution, and learned how to bounce back from tough times. These challenges have
taught me to keep going and work together with others to overcome problems in school.

Reflecting on your academic journey, what personal qualities or strengths do you
believe have contributed to your resilience in overcoming the challenges you
described in Question
1?
Looking back on my school journey and the tough times I've had, I've realized a few things
that helped me keep going. I learned to be flexible. When things didn't go as planned, I found
other ways to make them work. Secondly, I didn't give up easily. Even when stuff got really
hard, I kept trying until I found a solution. I also got pretty good at solving problems. Instead
of freaking out, I broke down big problems into smaller ones and figured out how to fix them.
Talking to others and explaining my ideas clearly helped a lot too. When I worked with
classmates, we talked things out and found ways to work together better. When I didn't have
all the tools I needed, I got creative. I looked for different ways to do things with what I had.
At last, working as part of a team was super important. And listening to each other and using
everyone's strengths, we got through tough times together. All these things helped me keep
going, learn from tough situations, and grow both in school and as a person.
