I have always enjoyed reading fiction, finding solace and excitement in the imaginary
worlds that authors create. Before engaging with this module, I had read several short
stories during my high school years. Some memorable ones included "The Lottery" by
Shirley Jackson and "A Sound of Thunder" by Ray Bradbury. While I don't have a

resonated with your own personal experiences or memories, and what insight you gained

One section of this unit that I found particularly enjoyable and insightful was the
comparison between novels and short stories (page 42). The way the text distinguishes
the two forms helped me appreciate the succinct nature of short stories. The
comparison table was especially enlightening, as it clearly delineated how short stories
focus on a single main incident or plot point and a limited number of characters,
contrasting with the broader scope of novels. This distinction emphasized the
