Bourne Shell
The Bourne shell was developed at AT&T and named after its developer Stephen R.
Boume. The Bourne shell is distributed with all UNIX Systems and is stored in the bin
drectory. The executable file name for Bourne shell is sh. It is one the most widely used
shells for UNIXsystems.
