,AUTHORS’ PROFILE
R Muthusubramanian is Dean Admission at SRM University, Chennai. He obtained
his B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and M.Sc. (Engineering) in Power
Systems from Annamalai University. He has been in academics for more than 35
years. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate students at Mepco Schlenk
Engineering College, Sivakasi, Regional Engineering College, Calicut, K.S.R.M.
College of Engineering, Cuddapah and Vijayanagar Engineering College, Bellary.
He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Engineers Engineers, Inc.,
(IEEE-USA), Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and Life Member of
the Indian Society for Technical Education. He has visited Universities in German,
France and Singapore. Prof. Muthusubramanian has authored books on Electric
Circuits and Electromagnetic Field Theory.
S Salivahanan is Principal at SSN College of Engineering, Chennai. He obtained
his B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from PSG College of
Technology, Coimbatore, M.E. in Communication Systems from NIT, Trichy and
PhD in the area of Microwave Integrated Circuits from Madurai Kamraj University.
He has three decades of teaching, research and industrial experience both in India
and abroad. He has also taught at NIT, Trichy; A.C. College of Engineering and
Technology, Karaikudi; R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore; Dayananda Sagar
College of Engineering, Bangalore; Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi;
and Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam. He has been
serving as a mentor for the M.S. degree under the distance learning programme
offered by Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He has industrial expe-
rience as Scientist/Engineer at Space Applications Centre, ISRO, Ahmedabad,
Telecommunications Engineer at State Organisation of Electricity, Iraq and
Electronics Engineer at Electric Dar Establishment, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His
areas of interest are Microwave Integrated Circuits, Low and High Frequency EM
Fields, Digital Signal Processing and Biomedical Instrumentation. He is the author
of popular books titled Basic Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering,
Electronic Devices and Circuits and Linear Integrated Circuits all published by
TMH and Digital Signal Processing by TMH and McGraw-Hill International which
has also been translated into Mandrain, the Chinese language. He has also authored
the book titled Digital Circuits and Design and also published several papers at
National and International levels.
Professor Salivahanan is the recipient of IEEE Outstanding Branch Counsellor
and Advisor Award in the Asia-Pacific region for 1966-97. He is the Senior Member
of IEEE, Fellow of IETE, Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India), Life Member of
ISTE and Life Member of Society for EMC Engineers.
