Gerunds /infinitive
Definitions:
Gerund: It’s the verbs that end with “ing” and act as a noun.
Example:
Jenny enjoys studying.
My brother likes walking.
Not all the verbs with ing are gerunds, only those who
acts as a noun.
Infinitive: the basic form of a verb that usually fallows “to”.
Example:
I need to practice more.
I planned to study next week.
When to use gerunds
and infinitives:
o Some verbs and phrasal verbs are followed by a gerund or
infinitive, and others by either:
