Muscles of upper limb
The muscles of the upper limb are crucial for movement and stability of the arm, forearm, and hand. They are divided into groups based on their location and function. The shoulder muscles, including the deltoid and rotator cuff muscles, facilitate arm movements. Muscles of the arm, such as the biceps brachii and triceps brachii, control elbow flexion and extension. Forearm muscles, like the flexors and extensors, enable wrist and finger movements. Additionally, intrinsic hand muscles provide dexterity and grip strength. Understanding the anatomy and function of these muscles is essential for diagnosing and treating upper limb injuries and conditions.
