Radial nerve
The radial nerve is a major nerve of the upper limb, originating from the brachial plexus in the shoulder region. It extends down the arm, supplying sensation to the back of the hand, thumb, and fingers. Additionally, it innervates several muscles, including those responsible for wrist and finger extension. Damage to the radial nerve can lead to symptoms such as weakness or paralysis of these muscles, as well as loss of sensation in the affected areas. Common causes of radial nerve injury include fractures of the humerus bone or compression at certain anatomical points along its pathway.
