The clavipectoral fascia is a fibrous layer covering the pectoralis major muscle and extending to the clavicle. It serves as a protective sheath, providing structural support and helping to stabilize the shoulder joint. This fascia also plays a crucial role in compartmentalizing the axillary region, separating the axillary vessels and nerves from the chest wall. Additionally, it contributes to the formation of the suspensory ligament of the axilla.
