Prostate
The prostate is a walnut-sized gland found in men, located just below the bladder and surrounding the urethra. Its main function is to produce seminal fluid, which nourishes and transports sperm during ejaculation. The prostate undergoes changes throughout a man's life, often enlarging with age, a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). However, it can also be affected by more serious conditions such as prostate cancer, one of the most common cancers in men. Regular screening for prostate cancer, typically through a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test, is essential for early detection and effective treatment.
