WORLD WAR III: IMMEDIATE PROXIMITY?

Tensions are rising. It is no secret that the great powers sharpen their
teeth, and everything seems to indicate that at the slightest spark, this
is going to explode. That is the first impression for all of us who inhabit
the planet because of what has happened to this day.

Since Russia's declared invasion of Ukraine, rivers of ink have flowed,
and the feeling is that this war has been more extensive than expected,
due to the support received by Ukraine from the United States and
Europe, which condemn the invasion. NATO plays a key role of
mediation and defense, as it is a direct opponent of Russia's policy of
self-defense and aggression. However, the accessions of third countries
such as Finland, which historically had wars with Russia, can contribute
to drastic decisions in the event of aggression by Russia towards NATO
member countries. And there are more European countries wanting to
join, as is the case of Ukraine itself.

China, for its part, maintains its policy of wanting to annex Taiwan by
force, but the United States stands in the way for very specific reasons,
which have to do with the maritime border and Taiwan's technological
power, represented in its production of first-class semiconductors, as
well as electronic and electronic equipment, and computer parts. A
conflict would lead to a supply crisis for such semiconductors, leading
to an imbalance in global production. This is a conflict that would
involve countries with a war tradition such as Japan, Vietnam and
Indonesia, which are neighboring countries.
