It was not a dance party but an "an artistic and cultural experience paying tribute to artists and dance forms from Latin, African, and Caribbean countries". The event ran from 7:30 pm till 11:30 pm. The night was enjoyable and influenced by the community to hold such an event. The dance performances were merengue, salsa, and bachata with Rumbao Latin. The first part of the event is the main introduction to the celebration and then an introduction to dance. The event was open to the public so anyone could go but there was a fee to enter. They offered free dance lessons to those would want to learn the dances. I had the experience of some of the dances since
