A normative ethical theory called virtue ethics places a strong emphasis on the value of moral character and virtues in moral philosophy. Contrary to consequentialism and deontology, two major theories of ethics, virtue ethics does not emphasize the results of an action or the moral guidelines that guide it. Rather, it places more emphasis on the growth of moral character and the practice of values like justice, compassion, bravery, and honesty. I can see many virtue ethics traits in myself where is I see that holding ethics and morals gives humans the ability to flourish and I also believe in the consequences of our actions.
