, Introduction
Evaluation of the student performance at graduation level or under graduation level is very
important for any academic or educational institute. The rating of the institute is based on the
student performance at different levels of education. Any academic institute is well known based
on the student performance and related factors. There are different measures of the student
performance. Traditionally, student performance is measured with their scores like GPA, GRE,
etc. The study of the different factors responsible for the student performance is very important.
For this research study, we want to check whether the GRE or graduate record exam is the
significant predictor for the evaluation of the student performance or not. We have to compare
and find extent of relationships between the GRE, GPA, gender, performance etc. For this
research study, we would use different statistical tools and methods for checking the different
relationships between the response variable such as student performance and predictors such as
GRE, GPA, gender, etc. The use of proper methods for the analysis of the collected data is very
important for getting unbiased results.
Research Questions
For any research study, it is important to establish the research questions or research hypotheses.
By establishing the research hypotheses, we would get the proper guidelines for conduction of
the research study. For this research study, we have to find out different relationships between
the two or more variables. We need to define some research hypotheses in terms of null and
alternative hypotheses so that we will use different statistical methods for checking these
hypotheses. Let us see the null and alternative hypotheses for this research study in detail.
