After brakes apply on all locomotives, actuate and observe independent brakes release on all locomotives. 5. Reduce brake pipe pressure an additional 10 psi with the automatic brake valve and determine all locomotive brakes reapply. 6. Cut out the automatic brake valve. 7. Observe gauges to verify that equalizing reservoir indicates no leakage and that brake pipe leakage does not exceed 5 psi per minute. 8. Move automatic brake valve handle to RELEASE position and cut the brake valve in. 9. Determine that all brakes release. 10. Fully apply independent brakes upon successful completion of this test.
