10 differences between regular community supervision and deferred adjudication community supervision - 1 RC there can be a plea of not guilty, guilty, or no contest- Deferred Adjudication - there must be a plea of either guilty or no contest and only the judge can grant it. 2- Eligibility - RC eligibility requirements differ depending upon if the jury or judges grant regular community supervision. With regular CS and under certain circumstances the judge Must require a defendant to submit to confinement. 7- Sentence upon revocation- RC supervision the sentence cannot be longer than the punishment originally assessed.
