,INTRODUCTION
Endodontic treatment can stimulate potential symptoms such as pain
and swelling during or after the treatment, known as the Endodontic
flare-ups, which is a nightmare for both Dentist and Patients.
Multi-causal origin of these flare-ups include the microbial factors, the
patient factors and the treatment factors. Among these,
microorganisms play a major role.
The principal reason for the inter-appointment pain is the development
of acute inflammation in the peri-radicular tissue region in response to
any irritation extending from the root canal system.
, An endodontic flare up is defined as an acute exacerbation of an
asymptomatic pulpal and /or periradicular pathoses, after initiati
continuation of root canal treatment (American Association of
Endodontists; 2003)
DEFINITIONS

Moderate-to-severe post-operative pain or Moderate-to-severe p
