Healthful diet - ANS-The proper combination of energy and nutrients. It's adequate,
moderate, nutrient-dense, balanced and varied.
Adequate diet - ANS-Provides enough energy, nutrients and fiber to maintain a person's
health.
Nutrient dense diet - ANS-Made up of foods and beverages that supply the highest
amount of nutrient for the lowest amount of calories.
Appetite - ANS-Psychological desire to consume specific foods.
