Cirrus SR20 POH
Engine - ANS-Lycoming IO-390-C3B6
4 cylinder
Fuel Injected
Horizontally opposed
Air cooled
Naturally Aspirated
Direct Driven
215 HP at 2700 RPM
Prop - ANS-74" aluminum Hartzel constant speed prop
Max Gross Weight - ANS-3150 lbs
How does the pitch of the propeller change as the power is adjusted? - ANS-Increasing
power results in a lower pitch angle yielding high RPM. Lower power setting results in
higher pitch angle and lower RPM
Total Fuel Capacity - ANS-58.5 gal
Usable Fuel Capacity - ANS-56 gal
What does VDP mean? - ANS-Max demonstrated parachute deployment speed
Vne - ANS-201 kias
Vno - ANS-164 kias
Vo - ANS-133 kias
VDP - ANS-133 kias
Vso - ANS-62 kias
Vs - ANS-71 kias
Vr - ANS-71 kias
, Vx - ANS-81 kias
Vy - ANS-96 kias
Best Glide (Max Gross) - ANS-100 kias
Vfe (100%) - ANS-110 kias
Vfe (50%) - ANS-150 kias
Max Demonstrated Crosswind - ANS-20 kias
Max Fuel Imbalance - ANS-7.5 gal
Max Takeoff Altitude - ANS-10,000' MSL
Max Operational Altitude - ANS-17,000' MSL
Can the boost pump be used for emergency backup? - ANS-Yes, but...
"Selecting fuel pump ON may clear the problem if vapor in the injection lines is the
problem or if the engine-driven fuel pump has partially failed. The electric fuel pump will
not provide sufficient fuel pressure to supply the engine if the engine-driven fuel pump
completely fails." (Section 3)
"The electric fuel pump is provided for engine priming and as an emergency backup for
the engine-driven fuel pump." (Section 7)
What equipment would not be operational in the event of an ALT 1 failure? - ANS-The
non-essentials (everything connected to the main distribution bus 1)
What equipment should not be operational in the event of an ALT 2 failure? -
ANS-Nothing
During the cabin preflight, what should be the normal voltage indicated on the essential
bus? - ANS-23-25 volts
How many fuel sumps can be drained? - ANS-5 sumps counting the gascolator
