Types of Family Structures

1. Nuclear Family - consists of husband & wife along with their children (adopted/ biological)
2. Single Parent Family - consists of a single parent raising one or more children
3. Extended Family - consists of two or more people, either related by blood or marriage
4. Childless Family - consists of couples who do not have children
5. Grandparent Family - consists of grandparents raising children while their parents are busy
6. Step Family - consists of a new husband or wife with their children from their previous
relationships.
7. Same-Sex Family - consists of same-sex couple with their adopted children
8. Cohabitation Family - consists of couple who live together but are not married
9. No parent Family - a family of children without parents in the picture
