1) Tell me about yourself? - I enjoy working with people of different nationality/ethnicity During my time volunteering at UCSD student run free clinic where I worked as an X-ray technician and Chairside assistant, I ran into a lot of patients who barely knew much English. My duties included but not limited to hosting career fairs, recruit admission officers from different schools, and collect participants for the events. I also participated in Literacy Initiative, a program which I heard from my fellow classmate and roommate. It's a program which helps disadvantaged children improve on their literacy level. After attending their workshop, I agreed to volunteered at a local school called Jefferson Elementary where I tutored third graders who scored low in English. I spent a year researching on Biomimitic Catalysis and synthesizes various substances that can mimic enzyme binding properties. During the time, I learned how to use NMR ( Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) machine to help me analyze the compounds I created. This is why I am knowledgeable in OC compared to QR. Although it's not RC is not related to QR, it effects my performance a bit. The main reason for getting 17 on QR is because I focused all of my energy in RC. What appeals to you about business ownership? - The ability to own my own practice in the future gives me full control of what kind of service I can provide to my patients. English withdrawal? - I withdraw from that English1SC because English is my second language and that class was very hard for me. While in the class, I went to teacher's office hour and stayed up multiple nights to finish up essays but still received the grade I don't like. Where have you excelled, and where could you improve? - Although I graduated already and haven't been in school for awhile, I know that my overall academic performance prior to graduation was sufficient enough to get on the Dean's List or Chancellor's list. I excelled in Chemistry and Math. There are classes I certainly wish to go back and improve on, such as General Biology and Physics but I slowly build up my studying strategies to excel in those classes Tell us something that we would not know about you from reading your CV. - There is a high suicide rate among dentists. How do you feel about this fact and how do you plan on remaining grounded during your career? - I will make sure I take stress as something that won't let me down but something that keep me running and tackling it one by one.
